finale sessions is excited about this release from knoxville, tennessee artist alex falk. he has been on our radar for some time now so we are pleased to share this with you! the a1 track -an ever- is one of our favorite tracks on the ep, with dreamy pads and monstrous stabs making for a fantastic floor-stomper. rounding out the a side is rrecs, a deep techno cut with clattering chords and moving drums and claps. b1 track what is free is another solid peak time killer with thick stabs and cut-up vocals making for a perfect finale sessions release. finally, br56 brings up the tempo while chilling out the vibe with dubbed-out chords, nasty filter work and a sound floating somewhere between techno and house.

marvis dee opens the newly varnished in the my dreams imprint with a boogie-led 5-track ep of late-night 80s house and slow groove-soaked beats. drawing from the magical influence of the conga-a-plenty tr-727 drum machine along with stomach rumbling basses and glistening synth romanticism conjured from the same machine. sailing over alpha moon is the first in a 3 ep series exploring these ideas, machines and the nostalgic attachment to things we have once experienced but may not remember. trapped solely in the memories of others, but returning in our dreams.

enemy returns with another remix package including efforts from some of our favorite producers at the moment. this collective includes the crafty and credible sound of vril, the legendary steve bicknell, and house musics latest tastemakers mr. tophat and art alfie. getting the remix treatment this time around is dustin zahns 2014 comeback release, >new day rising<. monsieur tophat and his esteemed colleague art alfie surprised us by turning in a very dark and stompy techno rendition of >lost in rapture<. it goes without saying that this one is definitely geared towards the time of the night when things get a little weird. vril follows up with an excellent take on >new day rising< by keeping the tension for nearly three minutes before the reese-like bassline drops in and causes the track to evolve into a groove that demands instant attention. steve bicknell rounds out the package with the peak-time hammer! its relentless, heady, and undoubtedly bicknell! this one has >rave< written all over it.

ant plate of rhythm plate infamy has been putting out records under the deftly punned yse saint laur ant name for the past four years, racking up 12inches for whiskey disco, editorial, and pickpocket that showcase his crate digging, beatchopping, soul dripping expertise. given that several of these records now command a pretty penny on the second hand market you d be best advised to not dally when considering the merits of the latest yse saint laur ant transmission for the newly minted vinyl only label. the stonewall ep features four expertly teased exercises in low bpm bumps with closer it beats the music our pick of the bunch

after a short break, 200 records is back with sebastian habbens solo debut >inner city<. habben, based in cologne, is one half of the producer and dj duo raucherecke who have released three eps on our label so far. lately, sebastian has concentrated on his own label >im in love< and his solo career. quite recently he released his tracks >nebel< on chilean imprint drumma records.

we continue our 10yrs 8bit series with a super double by nick curly! reverie ep is a timeless quality release as you would expect it from the label head. reverie, the a-side, hooks with a deep bass and straight drums, leaving space for an evolving arrangement of tribal sounds and laser beams shooting through the club. all people is a pumpin b-side that takes over the floor with solid grooves and deep filter chords, made to be played at the peak. these tracks will work any crowd and once more show what the 8bit label stands for: just quality music.

our favorite new producer musk finally debut on mule musiq after excellent remix for kza and kuniyuki and the track for i m starting feel ok vol.6. on and on on a side is massive chicago house track and mysore on b side is modern berlin house sound. both are killer!

wrapping up a short summer break, speicher returns with a powerful double bill from rising duo hunter/game. its the italian producers second contribution to the series, after having amassed quite a few nods with sneaky club anthems hexagon and bermuda (kompakt extra 83). this was followed by their strong rework of wevals gimme some a much acclaimed highlight of our total 15 compilation (kompakt 340 cd 125). the new material sees them digging even deeper into the hardware circuits while cranking up the momentum a notch or two: opening banger adaptation doesnt feel the need to ease you into the experience, dropping you right in the middle of its frenzied staccato synth throb instead. meanwhile, the path opts for rich, saturated colors and epic melodies, slowly building its case until its ready to blow its lid. these are two extraordinary techno tunes that will command your attention and leave no floor unturned an essential release for both the label and the artists.

montreal, on side b, seems to be a different beast. with powerful swing and a catchy theme this track means business.

2015 has been a huge year for dj-kicks, marking both 20 years of the series as well as our 50th release. but far from slowing down, we’re already looking ahead to another incredible mix from one of our favorite artists. over the past decade, seth troxler has become a visionary and authentic voice in dance music, his jovial personality cutting through the noise and continually playing by his own rules. growing up between detroit and chicago, his musical education carries enviable credentials, with his stepdad a local radio personality who championed the early sounds of house music. true to troxler’s character, the mix has a whimsical nature and a thoughtful and timeless narrative, bearing a tenacious episode for the dj-kicks series that gives a true insight into the man behind the well-preened moustache and cowboy antics.

we had no choice but to bring back our friend kiko navarro after the success of the new life ep released on local talk earlier this year. isao is kiko at his finest, a beautiful and hypnotic house track that has the perfect blend of afro and latin elements with a bouncy electronic edge. theres also a mighty fine remix coming from jose marquez. jose develops the vocal elements and brings in a whole orchestra of drums taking the track in a sweatier direction. kiko also delivers a koki dub where he continues on the same vibe and adds strings complimented by shakers and percussions throughout the track.

this is the first and 13th anniversary release from sea of green, japan- kansai area based party. the tracks are from our past guest artist with high quality sound. only limited 300 release.

ravage are happy to announce that rising dutch talent, daniel te boekhorst aka induction, will take centre stage as the first artist to release on the label with liturgical hymns, the first in our ravage white series. surrounded by music in his youth and having learned piano at an early age, inductions play things were eventually set aside and replaced by his fathers analogue hardware and synthesizers. it was in the blood. his sound? a heady concoction of electronica that ranges from deep, melodic and groovy to more urgent and harder realms. a fresh face and name for the scene but one that is destined for great things, all starting right here with rws001 - liturgical hymns.
